This is a great World War One Photo !!!

I realize this is September, and you posted this image back in June.

I just recently joined this site, a few days ago.

What is sad in respect to history, even though the photograph process, was first invented in Europe, I believe, there are very few surviving photos taken of the FRANCO-PRUSSIAN WAR (1870-1871), as compared to photos taken of the U.S. CIVIL WAR (1861-1865,), where I am always looking for photos taken during the FRANCO-PRUSSIAN WAR, on the internet.

The U.S. Civil War was longer, but it ended about 5 years BEFORE the Franco-Prussian War began.

In any event, when returning to Europe during the coming future, I hope to visit some of the Franco-Prussian War sites, due to a personal interest.

I am open to all discussions on this subject. I enjoy all positive comments and information on this subject.
